Technical Project Manager

Location: Salt Lake City

Job Description

As a technical project manager, you will work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. You will brainstorm, determine project phases, communicate, lead and manage projects to completion, ensuring deadlines, requirements, and quality is met. You will partner with stakeholders, developers, designers and QA to turn ideas into fantastic products that our customers will love.

Job Duties

  • Design, scope and document software projects
  • Collaboratively define and manage requirements
  • Ask probing questions about use cases and edge cases; document decisions
  • Explore technical feasibility and time investment compared to alternatives
  • Create project plans with tasks and estimates; track on JIRA
  • Manage projects throughout the development process and regulate project scope
  • Revisit scope and use cases when developers reach roadblocks
  • Collaboratively create and manage relative priority different projects
  • Relate individual projects to long-term plans
  • Keep everyone updated on development progress
  • Prioritize and oversee bug fixing efforts
  • Collaborate with team leaders to assign work; track and manage contractor costs
  • Coordinate graphic design needs with development and product owners
  • Meet with clients to understand integration needs and solicit feedback on product roadmap
  • Drive process and tooling improvementsResearch competitors and industry trends

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of managing software projects
  • Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience leading in-person and remote meetings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced skills in tracking, calendaring, and organizing meetings, decisions, and commitments
  • Experience managing expectations of clients and internal stakeholders
